As a senior member of the growing

Blue Dot Advanced Analytics Team you will:

• Develop and champion modern Data Engineering concepts to technical audiences and business stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with the multi-disciplinary strategic development consulting team to assess opportunities and implement data-driven solutions and infrastructure automation for Blue Dot clients across a variety of sectors.

​​

• Translate business objectives into data and analytics solutions, and translate results into business insights using appropriate data engineering and data science applications.

​​

• Partner closely with other executives at Blue Dot to support the development of innovative analytics solutions and products.

​​

• Provide thought leadership in state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.

​​

• Develop and deploy industry-leading machine learning models, aimed at solving client problems across industry verticals and business functions.

​​

• Work with Blue Dot Constellations strategic partners to extend and innovate our data analytics capabilities.

​​

• Help develop Advanced Analytics intellectual property and identify new areas of opportunity for data science and analytics for Blue Dot and its clients.

Providing client and client development support will involve:

• Participating in expert advisory activities that require deep expertise in the data science domain.

​​

• Advising client executives on data and analytics strategy and roadmap design.

​​

• Working with clients to understand business problems, translating them into data science projects, appropriately prioritizing and executing transformative procedures.

​​

• Serving as an expert advisor in proposal discussions.

​​

• Advising and coaching engineering teams on technological best practices and operational models to help raise their data engineering capabilities.

​​

• Developing relationships with external data and analytics vendors, and interacting with them on a need-basis.

​​

• Keeping abreast of technical innovations in machine learning and data engineering to improve customer results.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering,  Math, Econometrics, Statistics or Information Sciences (such as Business Analytics or Informatics).

Preferred Qualifications

•  Experience in analytics.

• Experience in Strategic Consulting.

• Track record of leading and collaborating on strategic initiatives.

​​

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss mathematical and machine learning technicalities with colleagues and clients from other disciplines.

​​

• Interest in learning about business applications, business models, the economics of machine learning, and data technologies – you will have the opportunity to work with world-leading practitioners in this area.

​​

• Experience in programming with Python, Scala, C/C++, Java, C#, Go, or similar programming language.

​​

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Hive, HBase, Teradata, Cassandra, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake.

​​

• Solid fundamental knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement machine learning algorithms such as classifiers, cluster analysis, dimension reduction, regression, CNN, RNN, DQN, GAN, temporal difference methods, sequence modeling, NLP/NLU, word/doc embeddings, collaborative filtering, self-attention, transformers, etc.

• .Experience with model explainability and interpretability techniques.

​​

• Experience with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and associated deep understanding of failover, high availability, and high scalability.

​​

• Experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, BigQuery, S3, MapReduce, Apache Spark.

​​

• Experience with MLOps – scalable development to deployment of complex data science workflows.

​​

• Experience in machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g. scikit-learn, mlr, caret, H2O, TensorFlow, MXNet, Pytorch, Caffe/Caffe2, CNTK, MLlib).

​​

• Experience in an international working environment.
